China Growth Capital (CGC) is a leading early-stage investor in China with an extended interest in Silicon Valley. CGC has been very focused on fintech, enterprise and consumer sectors since founding in 2006 and we provide tremendous support to help portfolio strategize, develop business models and build teams. CGC is also one of the very few early-stage institutions in China with a well-known large seed program. With over RMB 5B in asset under management across its different funds (denominated in both RMB and USD), CGC is able to cover a wide range of opportunities ranging from seed to Series B. Notable portfolio includes, ONE, Missfresh, Xiachufang, 700Bike, Wish, Tongdun, QuantGroup, Tongbanjie,, BeyondHost, 2Dfire, DFS168, and etc.

China Growth Capital pioneered fintech and enterprise innovations in China since founding in 2006.

We seeded the earliest portfolio of fintech companies in China's financial service industry, way before the concept of "Internet finance" was created and such names include TBJ (robo-advisor), Tongdun (big data risk management), Quant Group (consumer credit), CashBUS (micro credit), ZLW (trading automation), iQunxing (dynamic factoring) etc.

We also ventured into vertical SaaS sectors of hospitality, beauty, travel and supply chain management etc. 18 - 24 months before such verticals became notable investment thesis among peers.

We believe in vision-based investment thesis. As an early stage investor, we also think it is essential to stay atop the rising trends while recognizing major industry shift patterns.

In retrospect, China Growth Capital has taken a very focused research-driven approach through the years, to generate its investment hypothesis by deep diving into industry frontiers, instead of chasing hype on the media. Haiyan Wu, Managing Partner of the firm, once quoted this approach as "entrepreneurial investing" which perfectly matches our daily practice.

"Roll up the sleeves" and "stay entrepreneurial" have always been the keywords in our culture.
